The Tamil Cultural & Welfare Association (TaCWA) is incorporated in Queensland as a non-profitable charity organisation. The main aims of TaCWA are, firstly, the promotion and advancement of Tamil culture in Queensland, and secondly, supporting and encouraging education among the needy Tamil children.

In today’s context of global-village the use of Tamil language within the younger generation is declining alarmingly. Hence, an alternative to preserve the Tamil identity and to uphold the Tamil values is to promote the Tamil culture among the younger generation. This cultural affection within the young can bring about a closer bonding among the Tamil people living all over the world. Therefore, it is inevitable to promote the Tamil culture among the younger generation filling the irreparable language barrier to uphold the Tamil values and the culture.

Further, it is also important for our younger generation to be in the forefront in education to survive in this highly competitive world. It is our duty as parents to educate our children and at the same time support other needy children so that they too will become educated. In this view TaCWA is expecting every eligible Tamil parent to take the lead in educating at least one needier Tamil child.

Join TaCWA to support and promote the Tamil Culture, Language and the Tamil people in general.
